Schaumburg High School is proud to recognize Chieko Dunham as April 2021 Senior of the Month
Chieko Dunham is an excellent representation of a Schaumburg Saxon. She embodies a very strong work ethic which allows her to be successful in her classes and models the expectations of a Saxon outside of the classroom as well by participating in various clubs and organizations. A quiet leader, Chieko chooses to help others through interpersonal contact and friendship.
How does Chieko achieve all her success? She enjoys being involved in many things. Chieko focuses on what she must do, and learns as much as she can from it. Whenever something needs to be accomplished or a problem needs to be solved, Chieko rises to the occasion. She is truly someone everyone at Schaumburg can count on to help where help is needed. Still, amongst all this responsibility, she also takes time for herself and strives for balance.
A creative in all senses of the word, Chieko is an artist. She plays the piano, sings, acts, draws, and thinks outside the box. In the theatre, Chieko’s impact is undefinable. She has been involved in theatre since her freshman year and continues to stay involved in all of its aspects. Through theatre, she has found a place to express herself, foster strong friendships, and develop leadership skills. She is talented, innovative, and kind with a “can-do” streak that makes her invaluable.
As Chieko moves on to Knox college and embarks on her journey to become a high school English teacher, her positivity, leadership, and creativity will catapult her to new heights.
It is with great pleasure that we present Chieko Dunham as the April Senior of the Month.
Congratulations, Chieko Dunham, on being recognized as Schaumburg High School’s April 2021 Senior of the Month!
