Schaumburg High School Class of 1979 is celebrating their 40th reunion on July 20, 2019.   
 
The reunion festivities will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Real Time Sports in Elk Grove. The cost is $5.00 per person. Additional information can be found on their website.  Real-Time Sports Bar and Grill l Elk Grove Village
 
Out-of-town graduates requiring hotel accommodations can contact Country Inn and Suites by Radisson which is located near Real Time Sports.  The SHS Class of ’79 has a special room rate with a reserved limited number of rooms available.  We will monitor the number of guests at that location and can add additional, but there are no guarantees on availability. We suggest you make your reservations early.  The special rate is valid until June 20th, after that regular room rates will apply. There are other hotels in the area for those who have rewards memberships with other hotel chains.
 
We also have plans to visit Arlington Park Race Track for Party in the Park during the afternoon of Friday, July 19, 2019. This is a great opportunity to reunite with people in a smaller group setting.
 
As mentioned in a previous email, we are EXPLORING the option of having a golf outing. Some have expressed interest.  If you are still considering participating in a golf outing, please let us know as soon as possible. We will work out details after we have a definitive number of attendees. 
 
Confirmation of attendance, for the actual reunion, will take place in March. Real-Time Sports requires confirmation for the number of attendees in order to provide adequate space for our reunion venue.

As previously announced, our 30th Reunion will be taking place the weekend of September 6th, 2019. Events, as well as lodging, have been arranged. Please see the details below.

 Friday, September 6th

SHS will be hosting our group for a school tour. That same night there is an SHS football game at which we will be the guests of honor. ALL friends and family members are welcome to attend the tour and game. Here’s the full schedule:

5:15 PM – Report to Entrance 1 (Flag pole main entrance in front of the building) for Building Tour.

5:30 - 6:30 PM – Building Tour

SHS will provide “Alumni Game Pass” (Football game ticket) to those who attend the tour.

6:30 - 7:30 PM – SHS Alumni Tent and Bleachers, South End Zone
Everyone must have the “Alumni Game Pass” to enter this area. There will be tables and chairs under a 10 x 20 tent and separate bleachers.

For classmates and guests who DO NOT attend the Building Tour, please go to the “Home Ticket Booth” and inform the ticket takers they’re part of the Alumni group from the Class of 1989. Alumni and guests will be given an “Alumni Game Pass” to access the South End Zone Alumni area.

7:30 PM – Varsity Football Game

Our “formal” reunion gathering will take place at Real Time Sports, 1120 W. Devon Ave. in Elk Grove Village. ADULTS ONLY. Spouses, significant others, etc. are welcome. All attendees must be at least 21 years old. Here are the particulars:

7 PM to 12 AM

Two package options:

Open bar – Cost: $55

Includes UNLIMITED premium spirits and domestic, import & craft beers with pizza and appetizers. We will have dedicated servers as well as access to multiple bars in the venue. Wristbands will be sold on the evening of the event. Our area is reserved and separate from the general public. Soft drinks and food only – Cost: $25
