Schaumburg High School is proud to recognize Madhumitha Shetty as December 2020 Senior of the month
Throughout her years at Schaumburg High School, Mads has proven to be a leader both in the classroom and out. She demonstrates a mix of academic dedication and personal warmth that makes her such an effective leader in our school community.
In the classroom, Madhumitha’s success has been extraordinary in its scope. She has achieved high marks in many fields, and constantly challenges herself in a variety of subjects. Mads works hard to build relationships with other students in her classes, to which she attributes her success. She develops those relationships with the teachers as well – Mads is the student who will reach out to a classmate who needs help as well as to a teacher who needs a technology tip. Her maturity and concern for others has led her to be successful even in this most frustrating of school years
Outside of the classroom, Mads ably employs her talents to help others. She volunteers her time in a variety of organizations to improve the lives of others. She is a member of Debate Team and Student Congress, to which she attributes much of her growth as a leader. She amply displays this leadership as Co-President for National Honor Society and holds leadership positions in BPA and Rho Kappa. On the personal level, Mads’ droll wit and ample kindness have earned for her the admiration of her peers and teachers. Mads bring an infectious smile and positive energy into the classroom, improving every group she encounters. Her leadership comes through her quiet confidence and a positive example. She has embraced her high school years with enthusiasm and is truly a leader among the student body.
Madhumitha is undecided as to where she’ll attend college, as her success allows her many opportunities. She plans on majoring in Political Science and Mathematics. We are grateful for her leadership both within and outside the classroom and are proud to recognize Madhumitha Shetty as our December Senior of the Month.
