Speech Team
-
Students on the Speech Team compete against other schools in all forms of speech competition.
Students select from 14 different forms of presentation. About half of these are drama and comedy events. Others include broadcasting, current events, and persuasive speeches. Speech is an IHSA-level team meaning that in February we will compete in a regional, sectional and state level tournament.
The students learn to accept responsibility through working alone and as a team. Practice, hard work, and experience help the members to excel in their ability to perform.
