Several times a year, time is set aside at the start of the day for faculty in-services. On these teacher institute days, classes may start or end at a different time than usual. On late start days, classes begin at 8:50 a.m. On late start days, students still attend all eight periods, but the length of each period is somewhat abbreviated.
