Fremd sponsors exchanges with France, Germany, and Spain. Our Chinese students go on a school sponsored trip every other year as well.  Students who are interested may participate in the exchanges or just make some new friends from a foreign country.  Club members take our guests to Chicago to show them around, and we go on field trips throughout the year.
 
Students may host a student and then return to that country in June.  It is also possible to be a host without making the return trip.  The French exchange occurs every year.  The German and Spanish exchanges occur every other year.
