District 211 utilizes Infinite Campus (IC) as our student information system. Parents/Guardians can utilize IC to stay informed about their child's academic progress and complete necessary steps leading up to freshman year.

Enrollment Information - Completing the enrollment process provides confirmation that your incoming freshman student intends to attend a D211 school in the coming school year.

Career Clusters and Xello Survey (Complete your Career Matchmaker Survey) -COMPLETE-
High School District 211 has aligned its curriculum according to 16 career clusters as defined by the National Career Cluster Framework. Xello, an online software tool, helps students build self-awareness, explore options, create plans, and make decisions about life after high school.

Incoming Freshmen Night Information -COMPLETE-
District 211 invited incoming freshmen and their parents/guardians to an in-person event designed to provide a smooth transition from 8th grade to 9th grade. During Incoming Freshman Night, parents/guardians and students received information about the course planning process, elective course choices, summer school options, and school registration.

Core Course Placement and Elective Course Requests -COMPLETE-
Incoming freshmen will be placed into specific English, math, and science classes based on placement test scores and recommendations from 8th-grade teachers. Elective courses should align with a student's academic readiness, personal interests, and future goals.

Freshmen Kick-Off - SAVE THE DATE - Encouraged to attend Freshmen Kick-Off
All freshmen are invited and encouraged to Kick-Off their high school experience. This event is fun and informative for new freshmen to start the new school year in a positive way.

Placement Test - Saturday, October 16, 2021 -COMPLETE-
The PSAT 8/9 establishes a baseline measurement of student college and career readiness as they enter high school. It also gives an opportunity to preview the SAT, PSAT/NMSQT, and PSAT 10 and connect to Advanced Placement courses.
