As part of an ongoing commitment to community information and partnerships, and to build on the strong relationships among schools, law enforcement, and the public, personnel from local school districts and police departments presented community education sessions on the topic of school safety.
On April 11, administrators from High School District 211 and representatives from the Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg Police Departments discussed and presented an overview of safety measures in District 211 schools and the practices involving local police departments to keep students safe.
A similar program was held on April 12, with administrators from High School District 211 and Community Consolidated Elementary School District 15, along with representatives from the Palatine Police Department, focusing on school and police coordination, and best practices to maintain safety in schools.
Community education is important to High School District 211, and involvement helps our schools strengthen our commitment to serve all students. All sessions are open to the public and offered free of charge.
