Mental Health Awareness

Adolescents are faced with academic and social pressure on a daily basis.  Balancing emotional health and mental wellness with the demands and stress associated with being an adolescent can be a challenge for many students.

Representatives from local mental health agencies, including The Bridge Youth and Family Services, Northwest Community Hospital, Linden Oaks, and the Schaumburg Township Mental Health Committee discussed current trends regarding teens and mental health and the continuum of signs and symptoms of anxiety and depression. Presenters also provided tools for parents on how to initiate the conversation regarding wellness and mental health with their adolescents.

Mental Health Awareness Presentation
