The NMSQT is the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Historically, approximately only one half of one percent of the students who take this test score high enough to receive this award. This is a prestigious honor among high school students, which may bring financial rewards in the form of scholarship money for college.
