    Cap and Gown Orders

    Cap and gown orders for graduating students can be placed online, or in-person on Thursday, November 18, 2021. Students who are graduating in January and who plan to march in the June ceremony should also order at this time.

    Cap and Gown Measurement location: Hoffman Estates High School, room 235, 2nd and 3rd blocks only.

    Cap and Gown Distribution 

    • Cap and Gown Distribution is scheduled for Thursday, April 21, 2022.

    At that time, please make sure that:

    1. You have turned in your signed copy of the behavior contract, or have submitted it electronically
    2. You have paid applicable Cap and Gown fees
    3. If you have taken Drivers Education privately, you have turned in your certificate of completion
    4. You have passed the Constitution test

    Caps & Gowns were distributed on April 21 in room 150. 

    If you still need to pick up your cap & gown or tickets? Come to the World Language Department (room 60) AFTER SCHOOL. Bring your ID.

    Cap & Gowns were distributed according to the first letter of the student’s last name; please see the schedule below. As a reminder, in order to receive your diploma at graduation, the following must be completed: all applicable fees must be paid; FAFSA form must be turned in; if you took driver education privately, you must have turned in your certificate of completion, and passed the Constitution Exam. You must have also taken the SAT and your score is reported to HEHS.

    Students will also be able to register to vote during the Cap & Gown Distribution Day. Specifics on how to register will be provided through Senior Social Studies teachers/classes prior to the April 21 registration event.

    Take your Cap & Gown home, try it on to make sure it fits, and place it on a hanger to release wrinkles. DO NOT PRESS THE GOWN WITH A HOT IRON. Report any problems immediately to Ms. Nocula (World Language) or Ms. Katovich (Science).

    If you cannot pick up your materials during your assigned time, Caps & Gowns and/or tickets may be picked up AFTER SCHOOL in room 60 beginning the week of April 25.

  • May 6 - Senior Superlatives Nominations

    Seniors, it's time to recognize your classmates who have made an impact on the last four years at HEHS!

    The Senior Class Club would like your nominations for "Most School Spirit", "Most Likely to Succeed", "Most Changed Since Freshman Year", etc. Please use this link to make your nominations. The survey will be available for your votes from now until Friday, May 6th. A follow-up survey will be coming out at a later date to pick your favorite of the top nominees. You will need to be signed into your school Google account to access the survey.

    The Senior brunch is scheduled for Thursday, May 19 at Chandler's Chophouse, Grille & Banquets in Schaumburg from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Nice school clothes, acceptable within the school dress code, are the appropriate dress for this event. A pre-purchased ticket is required for admittance.

    TICKETS: Updated - Senior brunch tickets will be sold in the HEHS Main Office and MySchoolBucks through May 3 for $20.00. *Senior students only.

    NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AFTER TUESDAY, MAY 3.

    The ceremony will begin promptly at 7:30 p.m. at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates. The pre-commencement concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. Seniors enter through Door 11. Seniors need to be in their designated areas by
    6:30 p.m. No provision for changing clothes or storage of personal property such as cameras, purses, and coats is available. For guests, BALLOONS, FLOWERS, AND SIGNS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING. Guests can bring 1 bag per person. Bags can not be bigger than 12 x 12 inches. Please review the Senior graduation letter for specific information on behavior and dress.

    Graduation Contract

    Graduation Practice on May 18: On your last day of school, we will hold our graduation practice in the gym. We will begin in the auditorium at 7:30 a.m. All seniors marching at graduation MUST attend the practice. Please be aware that attendance at the rehearsal is mandatory. If you do not attend rehearsal, you will not be able to march in the ceremony.

    Name Pronunciation: Students will receive an email detailing the faculty member who will read their name at graduation. To help the faculty member correctly pronounce the name, we need all seniors to go to the Schoology Graduation group page and record the pronunciation of their name. If you are not already a member of this Schoology group, please add this group code: J99G-P3JN-KBRHQ

    Graduation Pictures – Lifetouch Photography will be photographing your student’s portraits while crossing the stage at this year’s graduation ceremony. All images will be available to view and purchase 3-5 days after graduation. Images will be available at www.events.lifetouch.com. You are under no obligation to purchase any pictures.

    Graduation Tickets: Eight (8) graduation tickets will be distributed to each senior participating in the commencement ceremony. You will be asked to count your tickets and sign for your them. You will NOT be given your graduation tickets until the graduation contract has been submitted electronically, or a paper copy has been signed and turned into the Main Office, as well as the other obligations listed in the graduation contract. (Paper copies of the contract can be picked up in the main office.) Though these are not reserved seats, a seat is available for each ticket issued. Children 5 years and older attending the ceremony will need a ticket. LOST OR STOLEN TICKETS WILL NOT BE REPLACED.

    Graduation Ceremony Parking: (Reference the NOW Arena map by clicking this link.) Graduates should park in lots A or B as they are closest to your entrance. Graduates will enter through Door 11. Door 11 will be open at 5:45 p.m. You need to be ready for line check-in by 6:30 p.m. The main entrance (Door 1) will open at 6:30 p.m. for guests. ADA parking is available in the East lot only and is limited.

    Other Important Information: Flowers, balloons, and signs will not be allowed in the building. Guests are allowed to bring 1 bag per person. Bags can not be bigger than 12 x 12 inches. Graduates and guests will pass through metal detectors. We ask that graduates keep their gowns unzipped during the security screening.

    Handicapped Guests: ADA seating is available in sections 100, 101, 107, 112, and 116. You do not need specific tickets for those seats. Due to space limitations, NOW Arena policy is one ADA guest and one companion permitted in the ADA seating area.

    End of Graduation Meet-up: Students will be directed outside to the closed portion of Hoffman Blvd to meet up with their family after the event. (Reference the NOW Arena map by clicking this link.)

  • May 21 - Prom / Post Prom

    PROM This year's Junior/Senior prom, “Better Together,” will be held at the beautiful Chicago Marriott Northwest in Hoffman Estates from 7:00 – 10:30 p.m.

    PROM TICKETS are priced at $70.00 per person. Ticket sales begin online via MySchoolBucks, and in person through the school cashier during school hours only beginning Monday, April 18 through Friday, April 22. All prom ticket sales close on Friday, April 22.

    PROM INFORMATION PACKETS are available by clicking here, or can be picked up at the HEHS Main and Attendance offices.

    POST PROM-SATURDAY, MAY 21 (immediately after the Prom)
    This year’s Post Prom will be held on The Odyssey, a beautiful night-time boat cruise on Lake Michigan from Navy Pier! Hoffman Estates Loyal Partners Booster Club (H.E.L.P.) has planned and coordinated all Post Prom activities and events.

    All buses to The Odyssey will depart at the same time from the Chicago Marriott Northwest in Hoffman Estates at approximately 11:00 p.m., after prom ends, once students who have purchased a Post Prom ticket have checked in. Buses will return to the Chicago Marriott Northwest by approximately 4:00 a.m.

    The Hoffman Estates Loyal Partners Booster Club (H.E.L.P.) is pleased to cover $40 of the $70 ticket cost, bringing your Post Prom ticket cost to only $30.00 a person. Ticket price includes the bus transportation to and from Chicago,admission to the boat cruise, DJ, and a dinner buffet which will be served once we arrive.

    POST PROM TICKETS will be sold online via MySchoolBucks and in person through the school cashier during school hours, only, starting Monday, April 18 through Friday, April 22. Post Prom permission slips will be available online and for pick-up in the Main Office and Attendance Office on April 11 and need to be completed and turned in by May 6. Students can only attend Post Prom if they attend Prom. Tickets are not transferable and cannot be exchanged or returned.
