    Each graduate will receive eight (8) tickets for the commencement ceremony. Additional requests will not be honored due to the size of our graduation class and the seating available for the ceremony. We encourage families looking for additional tickets to connect with other families who are not utilizing their total allotment of tickets.

    *ARRIVAL and PARKING: Students MUST be in their attendance lines by 6:45PM. Door 11 will be open at 6:30pm for students. Please be mindful of traffic and give yourself enough time to park, walk, and be in your lines by 6:45PM. Graduates should park in lots A and B.

    The main entrance (Door 1) will open at 6:30p.m for guests. ADA parking is available in the East lot only and is limited.

Summary of Senior Information

    • CAP & GOWN/GRADUATION TICKETS/SENIOR HANDPRINT: THURSDAY, APRIL 10

    It’s recommended that students take their cap and gown home, try it on to make sure it fits, and place it on a hanger to release wrinkles. Do not press the gown with a hot iron.   Any issues need to be immediately brought to Ms. Nocula or Mrs. Meador’s attention. After this date, distribution will be available only on Mondays and Thursdays from 2:50-3:05 p.m. in room 244 until the day before graduation. It is not recommended to wait until the last minute.  

    • PROM - SATURDAY,  MAY 10

    This year's Junior/Senior prom will be held at the Schaumburg Hyatt Hotel from 7:00-10:00 p.m. Students attending Prom must bring their school-issued ID. Guests attending prom with a Hoffman student must have a driver’s license, State ID or school ID with them to be admitted. All students must arrive at the Schaumburg Hyatt Hotel by 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10 or they will not be admitted into Prom. We look forward to a formal evening of dinner, dancing and fun together!  Prom tickets are non-transferable. Prom tickets will be sold after spring break in the cashier’s office/ main office and will be $80.00 per ticket/ person.Look for more information on the HEHS website.

    • SENIOR BRUNCH TICKET PURCHASE

    Senior brunch tickets will be sold in the HEHS Main Office and through MySchoolBucks from April 21 through May 2 for $20.00. No tickets will be sold after May 2. No tickets will be sold at the door. Contact Mrs. Meador (tmmeador@d211.org)  with any questions about brunch.

    • GRADUATION REHEARSAL THURSDAY, MAY 15 @ 7:30AM

    Seniors will arrive at their normal time. At 7:30 a.m., please report immediately to the cafeteria. iPads will be collected at this time. All seniors marching at graduation MUST attend the practice. Please be aware that attendance at the rehearsal is mandatory.  If you do not attend rehearsal, you will not be able to march in the ceremony.  (Pro-tip for the ladies: bring the shoes you plan on wearing at graduation to the rehearsal. Walking up and down stairs in heels takes practice. Or, just don’t wear shoes that are very tall.)

    • SENIOR IPAD PURCHASE OR RETURN

    Seniors should purchase their iPads in MySchoolBucks for $100 by May 14 or should bring them to return them on May 15, to avoid being charged for the device. All devices will be erased on May 23 at noon. Check your email for information about backing up your iPad, email, and other electronic files. See the Technology Help Desk in the Media Center with any questions.

    •  SENIOR BRUNCH-FRIDAY, MAY 16th

       The Senior brunch is scheduled for Friday, May 16 at Chandler's Chophouse, Grille & Banquets in Schaumburg from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Nice school clothes, acceptable within the school dress code, are the appropriate dress for this event. A pre-purchased ticket is required for admittance.

    • 2025 GRADUATION CEREMONY, FRIDAY, MAY 16 - 7:30 p.m. at the NOW ARENA

    ARRIVAL and PARKING:  Students MUST be in their attendance lines by 6:45 p.m. Door 11 will be open at 6:30 p.m. for students. Please be mindful of traffic and give yourself enough time to park, walk, and be in your lines by 6:45 p.m. Graduates should park in lots A and B (see map atthe bottom of this summary).

    The main entrance (Door 1) will open at 6:30 p.m. for guests. ADA parking is available in the east lot only and is limited. 

    FLOWERS & BALLOONS: Balloons and signs will not be allowed in the building. Flowers cannot be in a glass vase. Flowers can be purchased on site. Guests are allowed to bring 1 bag per person. Bags cannot be bigger than 12 x 12 inches. Graduates and guests will pass through metal detectors. We ask that graduates keep their gowns unzipped during the security screening. The graduation will be live-streamed.  The link will be posted on the Hoffman website the night of the ceremony.

    GRADUATION TICKETS: Your graduate signed for eight (8) graduation tickets. They are free. Please do not sell or pay someone for their ticket(s). Lost or stolen tickets will NOT be replaced. Additional requests will not be honored due to the size of our graduation class and the seating available for the ceremony. We encourage families looking for additional tickets to connect with other families who are not utilizing their total allotment of tickets.

    HANDICAPPED GUESTS: ADA seating is available in sections 100, 101, 107, 112, and 116. You do not need specific tickets for those seats. Due to space limitations, arena policy is one ADA guest and one companion permitted in the ADA seating area.

    END OF GRADUATION MEET-UP: Students will be directed outside to the closed portion of Hoffman Blvd to meet up with their family after the event. (see map at the bottom of this summary)

    NAME PRONUNCIATION: Students will receive a Schoology update (and Remind message) in the next few weeks detailing the faculty member who will read their name at graduation. In order to help the faculty member correctly pronounce the name, we need all seniors to then go to the Schoology Graduation group page and record the pronunciation of their name for their reader.     GRADUATION PICTURES – VIP Photography will be photographing your student’s portraits while crossing the stage at this year’s graduation ceremony. All images will be available to view and purchase 3 to 5 days after graduation. Images will be available at www.vipis.com. You are under no obligation to  purchase any pictures.

    FINAL TRANSCRIPTS  

    You must send your final transcript to the college that you are attending next year ,including Harper College.  To complete this task, use the electronic transcript service, Parchment.  You previously created an account with your counselor.  Many of you have already sent transcripts using this service. If you know where you are attending college next school year, you have the ability to pre-order your final transcript RIGHT NOW.  If you are still undecided, be sure to access your Parchment account and send your transcript as soon as your decision is finalized.  If you are unsure of how to use this service, please see your counselor.
