Softball Preseason Meeting
All girls interested in trying out for the Softball Team this spring, should attend a short, informational preseason meeting in room 133 after school on Thursday. If you are unable to attend, please see Coach Hamma in the English office.
Music Department Cheesecake Fundraiser
Trumpets Sound!! The Hoffman Estates HS Music Department Cheesecake sale is underway. Make sure you order your cheesecakes now. Delivery will be Monday, November 25 just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. Please see Mrs. Corwine in the Media Center if you have any questions or would like to order.
If you love to take photos and want to learn how to edit them, come join us in Photo Club! This club is open to all students. You are welcome to bring your own creative ideas and photos to edit. You don't need a camera. You will have the opportunity to use our Canon DSLR cameras, photo studio, and Adobe Photoshop. Every Thursday after school in ROOM 119 2:45-4pm!
Career Trek - Engineering
Career Trek in Engineering - sponsored by Honeywell UOP and AlChE: Wednesday, November 20th “B” Day, 8:05am – 1:45pm (Blocks 1, 2, 3 and 4). Learn about careers in engineering from a panel of professional engineers. This event is co-sponsored by Honeywell UOP, which is a multi-national company developing and delivering technology to the petroleum refining, gas processing, petrochemical production, and by AIChE, which is a professional organization for Chemical Engineers with over 60,000 members in over 110 countries. Career Trek - Finance & Accounting
Career Trek Finance & Accounting - FBI Forensic Accounting: Monday November 18 ("B" Day), Block 2. At the FBI, forensic accountants conduct the financial investigative portion of complex cases across a wide variety of Bureau programs—investigating terrorists, spies, and criminals of all kinds who are involved in financial wrongdoing. Through their work, forensic accountants contribute to the FBI’s intelligence cycle. They testify to their findings in court. They keep up to date with FBI policies and procedures, federal rules of evidence, grand jury procedures, and national security protocols. Join us during Block 2 to hear from an FBI Forensic Accountant. Learn about what the work is like and how you can succeed in this field. Career Trek - Engineering and Construction
Learn about the skills and job functions needed to design, construct and maintain roads, rails, airports, and waterways used by 621 million Illinois travelers a year. We will meet with Materials, Civil, and Electrical Engineers in addition to other IDoT employees on November 19 to learn about their jobs, visit their Materials Science lab, and tour their Communications Center that operates 24/7 to monitor the roads in northeastern Illinois.
