  • What is S.O.A.R.?

    • S.O.A.R. is a program designed to strengthen the educational environment at Hoffman Estates High School by ensuring that all students attain the social and emotional skills necessary for success in high school and in the future. It’s purpose is to establish a climate of appropriate behavior for the HEHS community.
    • S.O.A.R. is a school-wide approach in which students, staff, parents and the community are involved to provide a positive school climate.
    • S.O.A.R. is based on the idea that students learn appropriate behavior through instruction, practice, feedback and encouragement. Students are instructed in appropriate expectations, acknowledged for displaying appropriate behavior and provided additional support when needed to meet the S.O.A.R. principles.
