District 211 teachers Kerri Largo and Mary Lopez are finalists for the Golden Apples Excellence in Teaching awards. Schaumburg High School social studies teacher Mary Lopez was recognized at this Board meeting and Hoffman Estates High School business education department chairperson Kerri Largo will be recognized at the May 12 Board meeting. 

The Board also recognized Palatine High School Debate Sponsor Brenda Moreno as the Illinois Debate Community Coach of the Year, for her exemplary leadership.
