The Board of Education recognized the William Fremd High School Girls' Basketball Team for winning the 2019-2020 State Championship, as well as honoring Fremd High School Mathematics Department Chair and Head Girls' Basketball Coach David Yates for being named the 2019-2020 Illinois High School Girls' Basketball Coach of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations.  Fremd High School student-athlete and member of the 2019-2020 girls' basketball team, Ella Burns, was recognized for winning the Illinois High School Association’s 3-Point Shooting Contest, also called Queen of the Hill.  A list of the Fremd High School student-athletes recognized is available here.

The Board recognized James B. Conant High School gymnast Julia Betts who was named the Illinois Senior Gymnast of the Year by the Illinois High School Girls' Gymnastics Coaches Association.
