PALS (Peers and Leaders in Service)
-
PALS (Peers and Leaders in Service) is a service club that provides educational and service activities that promote the general health and welfare of HEHS students and the community. When combined with a passion for charity and community service, our hard work has helped to aid thousands. Through PALS, students have collected goods and monetary donations for care packages, raised money and walked for national and local charitable institutions, and sold candy to help families from the local women and children's shelter during the holiday season. Other projects include health/wellness activities and fundraisers, community service projects including elementary school tutoring and funfair volunteering, holiday programs form homeless and domestic violence victims/families, and food and clothing drives for disaster relief. Through PALS, students may also have the opportunity to participate in Illinois Teen Institute and additional service activities.
