Want to be part of a club that will help you build college level skills and an online writing portfolio that will impress your friends, family, colleagues and college admissions evaluators? If so, join the HEHS Newspaper staff! Newspaper staff members will learn how to report and write the news. They will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other writers and learn how to better communicate with all kinds of individuals. Students who work for the newspaper start building an online portfolio of work as soon as they write their first article. The online portfolio of work will be read by students, staff, Administrators, the Supertendent, and people in the community. Regional and state competitions will also be available to those reporters and writers who demonstrate that they have the journalistic skills necessary to compete.
