    Dr. Keith E. Schroeder is an accomplished fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon and specializes in conditions affecting the knee and shoulder, joint replacement surgery and sports medicine.  He is the founder of Barrington Orthopedic Specialists which has grown to 4 office locations with 18 specialized physicians.

    Patients have described Dr. Schroeder as a compassionate physician who answers all your questions and concerns.  His knowledge, skills, and demeanor have earned him the admiration of his peers, countless patients, and their families.   He serves patients at three locations: Schaumburg, Elk Grove Village, and Bartlett, Illinois. 

    Dr. Schroeder completed his medical degree at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. He then completed an internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He was drafted by the United States Army Medical Corps and served 2 years at Fort Sill, Lawton, Oklahoma as a Major and Director of Education Staff. Upon return, he completed a pediatric orthopedic fellowship at Children’s Memorial Hospital.

    When he’s not working, Dr. Schroeder enjoys sailing, fishing, skiing, jogging, and motorcycle riding. He’s also an official team doctor for Schaumburg High School.

    Dr. Ryan A. McCoy

    Dr. Ryan A. McCoy joined Pediatric Care Associates as a general pediatrician in July 2001. Dr. McCoy was born and raised in Schaumburg and is an alumnus of Schaumburg High School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. McCoy graduated from The University of Illinois-Chicago College of Medicine at Rockford and subsequently attended his pediatric residency at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. He is a member of the medical staff at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge, Amita St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates and Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Dr. McCoy is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

    Dr. McCoy practices general primary care pediatrics encompassing the overall health and well- being of infants, children, and adolescents. He is available to see both well and sick children on a full-time basis. Dr. McCoy also has a special interest in sports medicine and has been a sideline Team Physician for the Schaumburg H.S. football team since 1999. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine.

    Dr. McCoy has three sons with his wife, Suzanne. The entire McCoy family are die-hard Fighting Illini fans. In his leisure time, Dr. McCoy enjoys reading (mostly history) and coaching his boys’ baseball and basketball teams.
