BPA Meetings in October
October is a big month for Conant BPA! Wednesday, October 5 is our first meeting for all interested, new, and returning members at 7:30 am in the Auditorium. Check out our schedule for category-specific meetings that start on Friday, October 7! Contest decisions must be made by October 21.
Interact Club is hosting a shoe drive fundraiser. Please bring new or gently worn pairs of athletic shoes or sneakers to donate. Drop them off in our collection boxes located in the main office and team rooms. Look for this poster on the boxes. This shoe drive is to support humanitarian efforts in Nepal and in collaboration with the Little Angel's School in Kathmandu, Nepal. We will be collecting shoes until Friday, October 14th.
Cougar Climb Meeting
Climb members will have our meeting on Friday morning 10/7 at 7:30 a.m. This is a change from our normal Thursday evening meeting, so please take note and, if you cannot attend, check our Schoology page for details on upcoming events.
Variety Show Planning
It's time to start preparing for the Conant Variety Sow! We are looking for a team of creative students who is interested in planning this year's show. Come to the music wing after school on Tuesdays to meet with the directors and get connected. We will meet October 4th, 11th, and 25th.
SAT Practice Test for Juniors
Thursday, October 6th is an early dismissal day. On Thursday, all juniors will participate in the practice SAT rather than attend shortened classes. Juniors should report to the main gym no later than 8:15 a.m. on Thursday morning and bring their student ID, fully charged iPad, two number 2 pencils and a calculator for the exam. Please take the practice seriously. Results will be used to determine which students will benefit from SAT prep during their lunch or study hall.
Fun Friday Activity
Student Council and Ping Pong Club are sponsoring our next fun Friday, on October 7, inside and outside of the Student Activities Room (151). Come play ping pong and have some fun!
Ping Pong Club Tournament
The Ping Pong Club will be hosting a charity tournament on October 18 after school in the Cafeteria. Ping Pong players of all experience levels are welcome to participate! Donations of $5 will be collected at registration, and all proceeds will be donated to Unicef.
Orchesis is holding their first meeting today (10/3) after school in the Multipurpose room!
