  • World Cup Week

    FIFA World Cup trophyAre you ready for the World Cup? Conant High School is doing theme days for the World Cup. Please participate in the theme days of the week--starting November 28th.
    • Tuesday November 29th: Country color day
    • Wednesday November 30th: dress like your favorite player day
    • Thursday December 1st: Dress like Ted Lasso day or your favorite coach
    • Friday December 2nd: Wear your favorite Cougar Apparel
    and join Cultural Awareness and the World Geography Classes for face painting and World Cup stickers of your favorite teams while raising money for Cougars in Need. We will have country studies and a World Cup bracket.

  • Fall Book Club Meeting

    stack of booksJoin us in the library, after school on Thursday, December 1st, for book club. We'll be discussing the thrilling historical fiction novel, I Must Betray You, the story of a young man torn between the love of his family and the hope for his nation.

  • Conant Improv Show

    laughing emoticonTis the season to celebrate being together and Conant Improv is inviting you to the merriest of gatherings! Improv's first show is Saturday, December 3rd, at 7 p.m. in the Conant Auditorium. Tickets will be sold at the door for $7 or $5 if you bring a canned food donation. We hope to see you in the audience for our festival of laughs.

If you signed up for an Early Submission event, the deadline to submit completed work is Wednesday, December 7. If you miss the deadline, you are dropped from the event.   • Author Day Submissions

    paw printDO YOU LIKE TO WRITE?  Conant will be hosting the 5th annual Author Day on Feb. 23, 2023! Please consider sharing your original work, such as poems, short stories, essays,  plays, or song lyrics. You will then share your piece with the students and staff in the auditorium on Author Day. More information will be coming about submitting your work to be considered for Author Day. See Dr. Hess in English or Mrs. Lopez in the Library if you have questions.

  • Boys Volleyball Meeting

    VolleyballAny boy interested in playing boys volleyball this spring should attend the boys volleyball informational meeting December 8th. Athletes can attend before school, at 7:40 a.m. in the Cougar room, OR after school, at 3:40 p.m. in the Cougar Room. The meeting should last about 20 minutes.   • Conant Wrestling Winners

    wrestlingThe Conant Wrestling team started the year off great by beating Round Lake 53-14. Over the weekend, Conant Girls Wrestlers took 4th place out of 32 teams at the Niles West Invite, led by a 1st place finish by Senior captain Manny Anderson. Conant Freshmen wrestlers beat Minooka, and Conant Varsity took 6th at the Hruska invite with Ethan Burklund taking 8th, Tanner Cosgrove taking 7th, Matt Goolish, Luis Flores, Jaeho Willhite, and Chris Heishmen taking 6th, Chase Hura taking 4th, Jack Campbell taking 3rd, Harley Stary taking 2nd, and AJ Hernandez winning Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament by placing 1st. Go Cougars!
