iPad Self-Service Apps

  • To enhance the learning focus of the iPad, a predetermined set of apps to fulfill classroom activities and assignments are available for students to download directly through the District’s Self-Service app.

Additional course-specific apps may be installed throughout the school year upon request by classroom teachers.

The AppStore will not be available to students, nor will selected programs such as iMessage, FaceTime and AirDrop. Additionally, social media websites and applications that have been shown to distract students from schoolwork will not be available on the iPad.

Students who successfully complete the District's 9th grade online Digital Citizenship modules may be eligible for additional communication and collaboration opportunities in 10th grade. More information about this program will be provided after the school year begins.

Parents interested in information about applying supplemental Internet filtering and device controls to their child’s school-assigned iPad may contact the assistant principal assigned to their child to discuss options to implement individualized iPad settings.
