Social & Emotional Support
-
Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process by which students develop skills to understand and manage their emotions, set and reach personal and academic goals, build positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. Research shows that developing these SEL skills not only supports students’ social and emotional growth, but also improves their readiness to learn, classroom behavior, and overall academic success.
Students can schedule individual counseling with a school counselor, social worker or psychologist. Please speak with your school counselor if you are in need of support.

Support Groups:
Our school offers a variety of support groups throughout the year, designed to meet the evolving needs of our students. These groups focus on promoting overall well-being, encouraging positive connections, and providing space for personal growth. Groups are held during the school day, and students are excused from class by Student Services when participating. If you're interested in joining a group or learning more about what might be a good fit for you, talk to your school counselor—we’re here to support you!
Report a Safety Concern: Click here to report a safety concern to Fremd Administration
If you or someone you know has experienced harassment, bullying, discrimination, sexual harassment, dating violence, or any other prohibited conduct, school staff will help. Although we encourage reports to be made to an administrator, student services personnel, police consultant, or a trusted adult, students may instead submit a Safety Concern Report.
These reports can be anonymous; however, sometimes our staff is able to respond, assist, and in some instances intervene quicker when the reporter shares their identity. We encourage reporters to include their name and/or contact information. Every effort will be made to protect the identity of the individual making the report if not submitted anonymously.
The Safety Concern Report also should be used to report any concerning matters of school, individual, or public safety. Any reports of concerns for safety should include as many specific details as possible. All reports that are submitted are immediately routed to administrators; however, if you are experiencing an emergency or need immediate assistance, please call 911.
