October is Bullying Prevention Month

Bullying behaviors are something that Township High School District 211 takes very seriously. October is National Bullying Prevention Month and CHS would like to encourage all of us to be part of the solution. CHS has many groups and programs, such as the Bullying and Safety Concern Center, New Student Programs, Principal’s Advisory Board, Operation Snowball and Peer Mediation, already set up in the school to help reach out to students who want to be part of school improvement and support a positive, welcoming school community. In addition to these programs, during the month of October the student services staff will be providing informational presentations on Bullying Prevention to all freshman during their PRIDE classes and asking the school community to wear orange on Thursday, October 24 for Unity Day. The National Bullying Prevention Center celebrate kindness, acceptance and inclusion yearly on Unity Day by encouraging individuals to wear and share orange to unite together against bullying.
