AUTO SKILLS COMPETITION

 

Fremd High School student Frank Kranz is pictured with Fremd applied technology teacher Steve Elza. Frank and Hoffman Estates High School student Thomas Mayer took first place in the Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills Competition for Illinois. Students worked as two-person teams to diagnose and repair numerous “bugs” that were placed in an auto to simulate real-world problems. The winning team from each state, and their instructor,was provided an expense paid trip to the national finals, which was held in Michigan, June 8-10, 2014.
