Senior 2nd Semester Final Exam Exemption
District 211 allows graduating seniors to exempt from their second semester final exams if they meet the following criteria:
-
have at least a “C” average in the course
-
have less than six absences from the class
-
have no truancies from the class
-
have not been suspended from the class
-
are not incomplete on required assignments
Seniors not qualifying for the exemption will be allowed to participate in graduation ceremonies but will not receive a diploma that day. Senior finals will be administered concurrently with other scheduled final exams. Diplomas will be given to students required to take final exams following the processing of final grades.
State Testing is April 12 and 13
During the month of April, students across Illinois participate in Illinois State Board of Education required assessments. Freshmen, sophomores and juniors participate in one of the College Board Suite of Assessments. In addition, juniors take the Illinois Science Assessment.
- School-day SAT with Essay: Wednesday, April 12, 2023 (Grade 11 and select grade 12)
- PSAT 10: Wednesday, April 12, 2023 (Grade 10)
- PSAT 8/9: Thursday, April 13, 2023 (Grade 9)
- Illinois Science Assessment: Thursday, April 13, 2023 (Grade 11)

Meningitis Vaccine for Incoming Seniors
The Illinois School Code requires that all students entering 12th grade show proof of receiving two Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccines (MCV4) before the start of their senior year. Full details about the MCVE and all other required vaccinations are available on the Illinois Department of Health website. High School District 211 has a first day exclusion policy. Students whose vaccinations are not compliant will be unable to start on the first day of classes Monday, August 14, 2023.
Proof of your child receiving the required meningococcal vaccine (MCV4) must be on file in the school’s nurse's office in order to attend the first day of school, August 14, 2023.
If you have questions regarding your child’s immunizations, please contact your physician or refer to your child’s school immunization record using the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
