In a town torn apart by violence from a family feud, two individuals discover a love that could quell the fighting. Though their parents and friends disapprove of their relationship, the lovers find acceptance with a good natured Friar, who joins the two in marriage. The love that should bridge the families actually leads to more divisiveness and bloodshed leaving no character unaffected by the fighting. This tale of star-crossed lovers torn apart by family disputes and unruly fate provides a lesson of love and tolerance that can be connected to the times we live in now. Shakespeare's beloved tragedy is brought to life by a cast and crew of over 60 Conant High School students.

Veterans Day Assembly 11/9/18

  • The Veterans Day assembly is a special tradition at Conant High School. Students and staff honor veterans in a ceremony offering respect and gratitude to the many veterans who attend this event. Prior to the ceremony, our veterans enjoy a wonderful breakfast and participate in a smaller ceremony where we honor a Hometown Hero. We are grateful for our veterans service and sacrifice, and are honored by the many veterans joining us for this important recognition.

Conant students and staff submitted photos of loved ones who served or are serving in the military.  A video was created and shown at the Veterans Day Assembly while the orchestra performed to honor them.
