Dr. Lashonda bilbo-ervin

Deputy Superintendent Dr. LaShonda Bilbo-Ervin provides executive leadership and operational oversight to advance the Superintendent's vision, goals, and Board of Education policies. She leads districtwide strategic initiatives that strengthen instructional systems, student support services, and organizational effectiveness while driving continuous improvement across the district. Dr. Bilbo-Ervin works collaboratively with district and school leaders to enhance curriculum, instruction, student well-being, and equitable learning opportunities, ensuring every student has the support needed to succeed. She also partners with students, families, staff, and community organizations to advance the District's strategic priorities.

Prior to joining District 211, Dr. Bilbo-Ervin Served as Executive Director of Secondary Schools for Kansas City Kansas Public Schools.  She had also previously led Diploma+ college and career readiness initiatives, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, and expanded student access to dual credit and real-world learning opportunities. She also served as a principal in Houston ISD, where she led academic gains and implemented early college pathways.

Dr. Bilbo Ervin earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Louisiana Monroe, a master's degree from Prairie View A&M, and a doctorate from Houston Baptist University.  

Dr. Danielle L. Hauser

As Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, Dr. Danielle Hauser oversees employees and services directly relating to social and emotional health, as well as key components of instruction. She plays a critical role in the implementation of mandated testing; coordinates registration; ensures compliance with state-mandated health requirements; and works with and supports Student Service Directors in all schools. Her work has, among other things, launched a partnership that provides essential and free health services for students and led to the redesign of student report cards with an emphasis on student attendance and completion. She leads the District-level Wellness Team with a focus on physical, social and emotional wellness with an emphasis on students' sense of belonging.

Dr. Hauser came to the Administration Center in 2009 as the director of instructional improvement, and took over her current role in 2021. She previously served as a 12-month assistant principal, 10-month assistant principal and dean of students at James Be. Conant High School. Prior to her administrative experience, Dr. Hauser was a mathematics teacher at Conant High School beginning in the fall of 1999. Dr. Hauser earned her doctorate in education in teaching and learning from Illinois State University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from Ball State University (Muncie, Ind.), a master’s degree in teacher leadership from Roosevelt University, and a second master’s degree in leadership and organizational change from Roosevelt University. 

Mr. Kenneth Kleber

Ken Kleber joined District 211 on July 1, 2026, bringing more than a decade of district-level human resources leadership from Champaign Unit 4 Schools.  he helped guide staffing work in one of the most diverse school districts in Illinois.

As Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources in Champaign Unit 4 Schools, he helped guide staffing work in one of the most diverse school districts in Illinois.

Previously he held the title of Executive Director of Human Resources.  Additionally, he worked as associate principal and assistant principal at Centennial High School, and earlier taught social studies courses while sponsoring student activities including Speech Team, National Honor Society, and Youth & Government.

Mr. Kleber earned both his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and master’s degree in Educational Organization & Leadership from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Mr. Joshua D. Schumacher

Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Joshua Schumacher directs District programs that provide student instruction and curriculum services, as well as long-range planning for education programs. Mr. Schumacher also oversees District student activities and athletics, as well as student college and career readiness. He is responsible for staff professional development planning, district and school improvement planning, and the Multilingual Learner program.

Prior to being named assistant superintendent, Mr. Schumacher served as principal at Hoffman Estates High School from 2016-2020. Before being named principal, he served as an assistant principal at Hoffman Estates High School with responsibilities as activities director and overseeing building and grounds from 2014-2016, and responsibilities in the discipline office from 2011-2014.  He served as the school’s dean of students during the 2009-2010 school year. Mr. Schumacher began his teaching career as a biology and physical science teacher at Hoffman Estates High School in 2003, also serving as the boys swimming head coach from 2003-2011 and the girls swimming head coach from 2004-2010.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in biological science from Illinois State University and his master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Olivet Nazarene University. He earned a second master’s degree in educational administration from Northern Illinois University and is working on his doctorate in teaching and learning through Illinois State University. Mr. Schumacher is a nationally certified teacher through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, and also was recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education with a Those Who Excel award in 2014 as part of the Hoffman Estates High School SOAR Core Committee.

Mrs. Lauren C. Hummel

Chief Operating Officer Lauren Hummel coordinates the District’s purchasing, transportation, food service, custodial/maintenance, and accounting departments, as well as oversees financial planning and insurance programs. She also monitors state legislation and serves as the District’s FOIA officer. Mrs. Hummel earned a bachelor’s and a master's degree in dietetics from Illinois State University and received her chief school business official endorsement from Northern Illinois University in 2013. Mrs. Hummel began her career in District 211 as the Assistant Food Service Director in 2006. In 2008, she was promoted to director of food services. Mrs. Hummel was promoted to chief operating officer in 2014.

Mr. Matthew J. Hildebrand

Director of Safety and Security Matt Hildebrand monitors adherence to legal guidelines in matters of school discipline, attendance, expulsions, and residency requests, as well as serving as the District’s homeless liaison. He is responsible for coordinating school safety planning and emergency preparedness. He also coordinates students placed in alternative school settings. Before coming to the administration center in 2014, his career began as an art teacher at Schaumburg High School in 2001. He was promoted to 10-month assistant principal at Schaumburg High School in 2006, and was named the 12-month lead disciplinarian assistant principal in 2008. From there, Mr. Hildebrand became the 12-month assistant principal for buildings and grounds, staff development, and school improvement in July 2010. Mr. Hildebrand holds a master’s degree in Education from Olivet Nazarenet University (Bourbonnais, Ill.), a type 75 educational leadership certification from Illinois State University, and a bachelor’s degree in studio art, with a minor in art history from Clarke University (Dubuque, Iowa).

Mr. Andrew Peterman

Andrew Peterman is a technology leader with more than two decades of experience in educational leadership, digital transformation, and instructional technology, grounded in the belief that technology should empower students, support staff, and expand opportunity.  He joined District 211 as the new Director of Technology & Digital Learning in 2026.

Before joining District 211, Mr. Peterman served as Technology Integration Specialist for Community Unit School District 300 and previously as Director of Instructional Technology and Innovation in Glen Ellyn School District 41.

At Indian Prairie School District 204, he managed Student Information Systems, oversaw e-Rate submissions, and led data privacy work while connecting technical systems to instructional needs.

Mr. Peterson holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University and bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Michigan State University, with minors in Computer Science and Mathematics.

Ms. Maria Robertson

Chief Communications and Community Engagement Officer Maria Robertson oversees the communications team in supporting web content, social and traditional media strategy, video production, printed District and school publications, District messaging, and the creative telling of the District's story in a way that further engages stakeholders. 

Ms. Robertson joined District 211 as a strategic communications leader with extensive school and corporate communications experience, recognized for strengthening trust, elevating storytelling, and aligning communications with district priorities.

She served as Director of Communications and Public Relations for Decatur Public Schools District 61, where she oversees internal and external messaging, digital platforms, and media relations.

Prior to her work in District 61, she spent more than 20 years at PNC Bank in progressive communications, marketing, and community relations leadership roles tied to strategy, philanthropy, and partnership development.

Ms. Robertson graduated cum laude from Sullivan University with bachelor’s degrees in business administration focused on marketing and management, and is a graduate of Focus Louisville.
