Ms. Kathy Zalewski

Ms. Kathy Zalewski oversees the accounting department and financial services of the District. She is responsible for preparing the District’s annual budget, tax levy, long-term financial projections, monthly board reports, and other financial statements. In addition, she manages the District’s investments, disbursements, audits, and financial procedures and controls.

Ms. Zalewski also administers the District’s financial software and serves as Treasurer. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chief School Business Official (CSBO). She holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Before joining District 211, Ms. Zalewski served as Business Manager at Evanston Skokie District 65 for 23 years. Prior to that, she worked for a local public accounting firm.
