RECOGNITIONS AT THE December 11, 2014 MEETING

 

 Lance Corporal Grant Dunham
Lance Corporal Grant Dunham, a 2013 graduate of William Fremd High School, is actively serving
in the Marine Corps, and is currently serving with the 2nd Battalion, 24th Marines Echo Company,
3rd Platoon, 4th Marine Division based in Chicago. Lance Corporal Dunham has been invited to
this evening’s meeting to honor him for his service to our nation, and recognize him as a Fremd High
School graduate. Lance Corporal Dunham will lead those in attendance at the meeting in the Pledge
of Allegiance.

 William Fremd High School Physical Education Teacher and Boys Soccer Coach Steven Keller has
been named Coach of the Year by the Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association. This honor
recognizes Mr. Keller for his leadership, dedication, and commitment to excellence, as well as his
team’s success this past season. He has been invited to this evening’s meeting to receive Board of
Education recognition.

Schaumburg High School soccer student-athlete Jessie Lopez was named an All-American by the
National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). The NSCAA serves as the recognized
leader in naming All-America soccer players, and selects All-America teams at every level of play,
including high school. Jessie has been invited to this evening’s meeting to receive Board of Education
recognition.
 James-Aikens
 This past spring, William Fremd High School Science Teacher and Track & Field Coach James
Aikens was a finalist for the National High School Athletic Coaches Association (NHSACA) Coach
of the Year. Annually, the NHSACA recognizes coaches for their outstanding service and unselfish
devotion to student-athletes. Mr. Aikens has been invited this evening to receive Board of Education
recognition.
